‘Aria', the accompanied solo performance in an Opera, also means Air in Italian is a fitting title for these brand new ethereal works, they work well in pairs or a set of three.
The works are montages from photographs, starting with a trapeze artist photographed in my studio. The images are composed and then exposed onto a hand cut circular etching plate. Each plate is carefully inked up individually, before going through the printing press.
